UTHER BANDS

Post by john rooney » Thu Apr 30, 2015 5:38 pm

For those of you who like The Fat White Family check out

these lot...Warmduscher.

two of the Fat White's have got a little side project going and

are playing with Warmduscher. ( I looked up on the translater

and the name translates as ...wimps/or pansy's....or mollycoddled .)

think they're originally a ' acid or trance...or hardtrance type sound

it's all '' dance music '' to me )

try and detach youself...or don't even watch the video...arty farty silly stuff

but not a bad little sound they've got going.

whatdyathink ?

Can't stand Fat Whites. Never heard them, but they're awful.

I recommend Captain Beefheart, an American act from the 60s, 70s and 80s. They are like a jazzier, bluesier Ramones.

I hope no one listens for the first time to Beefheart immediately after seeing that description, David. You would a heavy responsibility for the results.

Yeah.
I'd say they're more a forced pretentious racket with a novelty blues vocal.

Also good is The Wire. They are to England what The Cars were to America -- sharp, angular and increasingly electronic over their respective careers. Compare "Hello Again" to "Kidney Bingoes." Same song as split thru a massive prism callt "The Atlantic Ocean." Also, there is The New Cars (with Todd Rundgren, producer of Skylarking) and the new Wire (with CJ Ramone).
