Re: Books

Got the boxset of Transmetropolitan. It was just OK. Won't cost me that much as I can resell it, barely new. Also downloaded a spoken-word version of The Qu'aran. That was just OK too. Neither made me want to surrender my life and turn into a pious killer.

John Peels wife. That's right I want punch the pig herself. Well maybe 'wanting to' is putting it a bit strong. It's the first thing that came into my head. How about the ugly one from Iron Maiden? That makes 7.

Now;

I've had cancer for the past three years. Sometimes tired, sometimes laid low, most times OK. One thing that I used The Fall for was something to look forward to and to aim at. An album, a gig.

I've decided to switch my allegiance to PIL.

They play in stupid venues too.

Re: RIP

A major touchstone in my life is gone, the albums and concerts are like the yearly events that I used to mark my own passage thru' this daft experience. They also brought to many many places that I simply would not have travelled to and all those Fall fans who I've met in all those cities in Europe....

Strongest memory from 2017

I've spent the last 18 months with cancer but my memory of 2017 is being in Manchester and seeing the MEN lit up by searchlights and being told by a police officer that a load of children had been killed there. Returning home after The Fall gig in Leeds earlier that night. Poor parents, imagine thei...

Awright, MES?

I hope that you're OK.
Had a rough few months healthwise myself and wish you all the best ya twisty fuckwitty non-poet but who is a real poet (probably).
It's hard to give a tiny fuck about anything when you might be dying.

Am I the only one worried?

His partner no longer apparent, cancelled gigs. A bit like the bad old days. Jebus MES-if you're reading this stuff. I dunno; you've been a part of a part of my life for ever, it seems. You have been responsble for the most extraordinary trips that I've ever undertook. I took my wife to Galway to se...
